About The Producer

(2021) – Brian Brown is a musician, arranger, producer and songwriter. He’s accompanied some of the award-winning/ nominated phenoms across the gospel, R&B, and jazz-fusion genres: Gospel recording artists: Darius Brooks, Deandre Patterson, Kim Stratton, and Beverly Crawford; Rhythm & Blues phenoms: Eric Robeson, Miki Howard, and Dante Hall to name a few. As he’s made Chicago his new home, Brown has become a key talent for the Second Nature Band led by Dwayne “Deo” Bradford. He’s assisted, co-produced, and directed in the production of the group’s most recent productions as of 2014.

The group just released a new album titled, Sounds For The Soul Vol. 1 that he co-produced with Bradford. The group recently closed out the year with a Christmas project that was viewed via Facebook Live.

Originally from Eden, North Carolina, Brown was born on September 18, 1981. His mother, Janice Brown, and his father, Gary Brown, played an intricate role in preparing him for his musical journey. He credits them for sparking his interest in the field. His mother was a soprano at their local church, and dad, however, was not a musician but a devoted music lover.

Brown would, ultimately, go on to become the piano player at his grandmother’s church at the age of 10 –after bouncing between the drums and piano. His playing even began to dive into his schooling with his beloved music teacher, Alton Thompson.

Brown credits much of his music development and discipline to his late teacher –

and church, of course. Dr. Thompson, however, gave Brown the discipline and style to develop his gift.

His tag team journey of piano and production sparked during high school. Ultimately, his gift, however, did have him transcend the need of completing additional formal education post high school.

As fall of 2010 came around…He didn’t know the surprise he’d be running into as soon as he arrived in Chicago. Brown would go on to become the music director at Darius Brooks’s church, but it also was his “professional bootcamp”.

His journey would end with Brooks in 2014 as he would go on to venture into independent projects and playing with the band, Second Nature.

Brown is now broadening his musical sights on scoring… even though, he will maintain his live performance and studio arrangement careers with Natural Brown Entertainment.
